Early morning yoga

Thursday 07.15 - 08.30 in the Top Room

Traditionally Yoga was practised at sunrise and sunset as the energies are considered to be more supportive and accessible at these times.

We are a small group who are committed to this morning practice come Winter, Spring, Summer or Autumn. This is the perfect opportunity to awaken and energize your body and mind before you begin your daily life in London.

We practice Meditation, Pranayama (Breathing) and Asana (postures) before we relax into savasana and Yoga Nidra.

New morning practitioners are always welcome.

Ginny was trained in Iyengar yoga and has been deeply influenced by the teaching of Dona Holleman and her eight principles of practice.

These are:
1. The meditative state of mind or the not-doing of the mind
2. Relaxation or the not-doing of the physical body
3. Intent or the not-doing of visualization.
4. Rooting
5. Centering
6. Bodyscape
7. Breathing
8. Elongating

The energetic and healing practice of Qi Gong is another major influence in my teaching.

I teach classes in work places, yoga, community and mental health centres. Contact Ginny to discuss setting up at class in your workplace or community.

I am teaching at the newly refurbished Pullen's Centre! 184 Crampton Street, SE17 3AE on Wednesday from 6 April 6.45 - 8-15 . (£8/6)

I jointly lead Yoga and Meditation retreats at the Dhanakosa Buddhist Retreat Centre in Scotland twice a year.

Live your own life.

That is to say, where you are, as you are, with what you are, and with who you are….

Accept the situation in which you find yourself and try, at the same time, to adapt to it.

You cannot escape from it.
