Acupuncture
Tess Stone BA (Hons) BSc (Hons) LicAc, phone for an appointment on 07809 680881.
Acupuncture is a system of healing which has been practiced in China and other Eastern countries for thousands of years. Although often described as a means of pain relief, it is in fact used to treat people with a wide range of illnesses. Its focus is on improving the overall well being of the patient, rather than the isolated treatment of specific symptoms. The principle aim of acupuncture in treating the whole person is to recover the equilibrium between the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the individual.
In the 2000 British Medical Association’s (BMA) Annual General meeting, over 80% of doctors voted for acupuncture to become part of the NHS and to be used alongside orthodox medicine in the future.
What can acupuncture treat? Pain in back, neck, joints, arthritisPainful periods, heavy bleeding/ scanty periods, PMTInsomnia, headache general/ migraineChronic fatigue, emotional problems, depression, anxiety, stressIBS, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea.
